Obama: Making Joe Biden Vice President was "The Single Best Decision I Have Made"

At a Wilmington rally for Democratic Delaware Senate candidate Chris Coons today, President Obama laid to rest any remaining speculation that Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden might switch jobs in 2012, telling a packed crowd in Biden's home state that his choice of vice president was "the single best decision I have made."

He then gave the vice president a hug and called him an "extraordinary" vice president, a "fighter" and "someone who knows what our core mission is."

"Joe hasn't forgotten where he came from," the president added.

Speculation about a possible swap in positions between the vice president and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton grew earlier this month when longtime Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward intimated that a possible Obama-Clinton ticket was "on the table" for 2012.

The White House, Clinton, and Biden all immediately dismissed this idea, which White House senior adviser David Axelrod called "complete bulls**t."

In my opinion, Joe would make a much better POTUS. He lacks the IQ to do too much damage.

It probably was the best decision. President Obama picked someone who make himself look smart. President Obama's decisions have gone downhill since that time. He is the most inexperienced and accomplished President in my lifetime, and he accompanies that with being the most arrogant. This is a bad combination. Progressives are dreamers, and when everything is going well - we can afford to dream a little. However, when your butt is in a deep ditch and you are experiencing a flood - you had best stop dreaming and do something practical. Our nation finds itself in a ditch, and we desperately need people of experience and knowledge of practical matters to be sent to Washington. November can't come soon enough.

With unemployment hovering near 10 percent nearly two years after President Obama signed his economic stimulus package, Mr. Obama is acknowledging that, despite his campaign promises, "there's no such thing as shovel-ready projects."
